From ANDRAS JONES: As promised, our Pop Oracle sessions with SARAH KRAMER ends with the beginning of spring and her question, “Will you help justice?” It’s the kind of spring, which is good. It’s a sweet sync that the randomly chosen Pop Oracle song of the day from the R8B App is John Trudell, of whom we spoke in our previous session with Harvey Kubernik. John asked tough questions like Sarah’s, and he was not above writing a love song, like “Tina Smiled”. Listen to the whole session to hear the answer to Sarah’s justice-minded question. In fact, take a day and listen to the whole episode with Azalia Snail, Stephen Kalinich, Keith Allison, Jeff Turmes, Danny McGough & Harvey Kubernik. That should get you in the mood to go out and see one of her upcoming shows if you’re going to be in LA on:
Saturday, April 27th for a solo acoustic set at The Eclectic Music Festival & Arts Crawl in Pasadena, CA at 3:30PM.
Sunday April 28th at THE YORK for a new duo project she’s doing with drummer Joe Berardi. All instrumental, all improvisation from 8-10pm.
Saturday, June 29th for an event celebrating Anne Sexton wih Azalia Snail and friends at Beyond Baroque in Venice, CA at 8pm

IRIS of HOLLYWOOD

Last we spoke we were having cheer(s)
down at Poubelle right after New Year’s
Your eyes filled up with candle light
(and/with) a look that understands
You were talking like a pastor would,
dancing with your hands
(coming) from a place I understand
I had no idea you could slip away so fast,
I’d help if I could I’m here,
hoping you’ll make it back to The Iris Of Hollywood
Iris, Iris Of Hollywood, Hollywood…
It’s a lonely, lonely town, (it’s) the loneliest It’s the eye of the storm,
it’s the Iris It’s the Iris Of Hollywood
