Tim Young
&
Zak Schaffer
From ANDRAS JONES: TIM YOUNG is a member of the Late Late Show with James Corden band. Our musical guest ZAK SCHAFFER clearly holds Tim’s playing and personality in high esteem. On the day we recorded this, Tim had just injured his ankle at the skate park with his kid and was in the middle of moving, so it’s kind of amazing that he made time to be a part of our synchronistic shenanigans in the song shack. And now if I ever get invited to play a song on The Late Late Show I’ll know someone in the band.
POP ORACLE Song of The Day (July 25, 2019): DAN BERN & COMMON ROTATION “Lonesome Fugitive”
Prove Me Wrong
Staying out late, a friend in need or maybe a date
The radar dish is poised the noise is clear I hear the evidence I need
Stories you weave, dismantled by the things I perceive
The radio picks up your betrayal, I fail to tell the flowers from the weeds
And I hope you prove me wrong
This Time
Soldiers aligned, expletives that make you maligned
Beware of traps I set in the night I might be right so don’t pick up the phone
Maybe it’s me, or something in my bad history,
I always have to bust the trust we need to make it through another day
And I hope you prove me wrong
This Time
Stating a curse, and hoping you come back in a hearse
Tripwire stretched in front of the gate, I wait to find you coming home alone
And I hope you prove me wrong
This Time
