Rudi Meibergen
&
Kisspanic
From ANDRAS JONES: We come to the close of our session with KISSPANIC and their friends with their singer, guitarist and songwriter RUDI MEIBERGEN asking his own question and taking us on a really wonderful tour of Chile, the land of his birth. I know I haven’t had a lot to say about these sessions. I think I will in the future. This was our last recording date at Starburns before there was a major shift in our relationship there and I think that’s made it hard for me to think as clearly as I’d like about this one. I’m sure the emotional IQ (EQ) that Jay Levin talked about, or the lack thereof, is at play here. There is a nifty sync between this session and the randomly chosen Pop Oracle song from Matthew Southworth below. Can you catch it?
POP ORACLE Song of The Day (July 3, 2019): MATTHEW SOUTHWORTH “All This And More”
Y don Neruda me enseña poemas
Where Are You Hiding
I have araucarias that touch the sky
and they have left their scent up there
before than any monument
I also have that reddish metal
That we have given to the whole world
So the light is lit in the night
And bigger than Gabriela is just our desert
that does not have a Nobel prize,
but a thousand poems inside
Like a picture of Roberto
kill schemes, kill time
and transforms them into a dream
I know a beautiful place
Between mountain and sea
It is an immortal paradise
It is very easy to get there
I come to look for the divine fruit
and I find the Chilean grape
that rests in Parra Violeta
And Mr. Neruda teaches me poems,
It teaches me that there is a Moai watching
In the distance our Andes mountains
If we have not won the most beautiful sport yet
It’s just a matter of time
Because we already have the gold and we spare courage
fly fly Victor Jara, through history.
