From ANDRAS JONES: In pulling together this week’s visit to the Radio8Vault I figured it would be fun to look at sessions from this week in March recorded in years gone by. What I first imagined would be a joyous exploration of spring soon revealed itself to be an exercise in PTSD. If you’ve ever been harassed by someone you trusted perhaps you can relate to the experience of looking back at old pictures of seemingly happy times with the person who would go onto terrorize you and trying to figure out how to relate to the smile on your own face. That’s my experience with this session and several that will follow it. Oh, and just to twist the knife a little (thanks synchronicity) today’s randomly chosen Pop Oracle song is my own musical celebration of Dillinger’s, a local bar in Olympia where I worked and was also harassed by a fellow employee who refused to take no for an answer. I have no idea what kind of response this will get. Well, I have some idea, but I hope I’m wrong.
