From ANDRAS JONES: MARVIN SHELTON takes a break from the molding of young minds to join our Pop Oracle session with KODA CORVETTE and asks a question inspired by astrology. There are so many different ways to look at time. This week everyone’s all in a tizzy over the Gregorian new year. As far as arbitrary Roman calendars it’s useful but no better than the Chinese or Jewish calendars and I certainly find it less integral than natural time and it’s 13 moon months of 28 days. With all these choices we still seem pretty locked into Pope Gregory’s calendar, which is perhaps why we seek release in the poetry of the western zodiac. It certainly makes good fodder for this musical divination.
