Marshall Thompson

Andras Jones
From ANDRAS JONES: Our second installment of this Radio8Ball session with host MATT BROUSSEAU and me performing the role of the musical guest features keyboard player MARSHALL THOMPSON asking a question about the weather. I’m having a hard time picturing my old friend as a weatherman, either kind, but if that’s what he wants who am I to stand in his way? His answer is a song written by another old friend, gone now, who I’ve talked about on the show before. PAUL PLAGENS of the band Greta played this song on Radio8Ball when we were on KAOS and I intend to keep his song alive with a version I hope he’d approve of.
TRASH
by Paul Plagens
She was always in that monster truck going somewhere
Sparkin’ up a joint yeah
And I wanted her to be my girlfriend
Yes I wanted her to be my girlfriend
but she hated everyone in this town
because they put her down
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said it
Everybody said it
We were drinkin’ beers by the fire making out on her tailgate
Crankin’ up the tunes yeah
And I didn’t want to start a big fight
No I didn’t want to start a big fight
but I could see it in her eyse she’d be leaving by tomorrow night
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said she was trash
Everybody said it
Everybody said it
And I know that my love
would be so much better suited
for someone who might come when I call
When I call
