Willie Wisely

Great Willow
From ANDRAS JONES: GREAT WILLOW invited the Great WISELY to join them and ask a question on their episode. Little did they know Willie Wisely and I have a long history of collaborating. We produced an album called “The Darkest Day of The Year” for Andy Dick together. Willie produced several of the most popular tracks for my client Andy Shmushkin (“Punkin Lovin'”, “Porn Mom” & “Christmas Cunnilingus”), and we’ve co-written 3 songs that have appeared on his albums. I tossed those on at the end of this podcast so I hope you enjoy. As for his question, well, if you’re like those of us in the room, it might make you a little bit hot under the collar but infuriating suggestions from folks who have only the shallowest understanding of our work is part of the job I suppose. All the more reason for the existence of a format that engages songs deeply on the most personal level. Songwriters don’t generally care what you think we should be doing. We’re far more interested in how what we’re doing hits you. We cry for our own joy and what pleasure or pain you take from it is all your own.
CRY FOR JOY
Dream state
Kisses’ wild tide
warm waves rise
surge blood, heart’s delight
cry for joy, cry for joy
If life is for learning I must know something by now
If love is for taking this would be the moment right now
here and now, here and now
sweet laugh, pools of tears
skin on skin, fear on fear
hair pours, breath so near
cry for joy cry for joy
If life is for learning I must know something by now
If love is for making the time for taking is now
here and now here and now
If life is for learning I must know something by now
If love is for taking making this would be the moment right now
here and now here and now
