ALYSSA d’ARTENAY is a studio engineer currently studying her craft in the Cal State system. Our guest in this spot was supposed to be Kim Shattuck of The Muffs (their bass player Ronnie Barnett joins us for the next episode with Jeffrey Gaines) but at the last minute Kim had to drop out and Alyssa bravely stepped up. As her question reveals, Alyssa’s future in the industry is a mystery to her but synchronicity has a weird knack for lighting upon the most auspicious people before they emerge to the wider public.
