Ben Lecourt
&
Chris Price
From ANDRAS JONES: BEN LECOURT is a drummer with a question about time. No, that’s not the set up to a joke. Or maybe it is. You never know with these clever bands and their inside jokes. Ben is part of the band BeBopALula with our musical guest Omnivore Recording artist CHRIS PRICE, and they kind of took over the last half of this episode. That being the case, it is tempting to string together the themes of their questions to make something new. An album title for their next recording? A message to the nation? A deeper theme underlying BeBopALula and/or this episode? Well, yesterday’s question from Alex Jules was about “murder”. And today’s is about “time” and “money”. So, murder time and money. I’ll leave it to you to decide what to make of this. You’ll just have to wait and see what theme completes this poetic equation until tomorrow when we will be joined the 4th BBAL Emeen Zarookian aka Spirit Kid.
SIGH
I was home once, in another life
Used to know love, but I turned out that light
A lesson that I learned too well
A tale that I could never tell
I’m living here in limbo now
Hoping you can bail me out
Between the light and the dark I cry
Between the right and what’s left I sigh
Standing solo underneath a cloud
Trying to find you through the faces in the crowd
The world is such a lonely place
Since you left without a trace
Now all I do is pray for rain
To wash away the memory again
Between the light and the dark I cry
Between the right and what’s left I sigh
The world is such a lonely place
Since you left without a trace
Now all I do is pray for rain
Cause the memory’s coming back again
