Bloody Death Skull
From ANDRAS JONES: Continuing our Pop Oracle session with BLOODY DEATH SKULL we are joined by Daiana Feuer’s friend ELVIN ESTELA (DJ Nobody) who asks a question about immortality that leads us into some sci-phi (as in science philosophy) flights of fancy. (Or would that be phlights of phancy?) Considering the Pop Oracle answer to Elvin’s question I am led to a counter-intuitive interpretation. It’s been said that we live on in the memories of those we have touched. This is usually cited as a reason for good deeds and warm relations but since “Friends Bus” is about a bad friend perhaps the Pop Oracle is reminding us that we also live on in the psychic wounds we’ve left on those who outlive us. This leaves us with a new question, “Is there a different quality to the immortality experienced by those who are remembered fondly and those who are remembered for the damage they have done?”
FRIENDS BUS
Friends don’t throw friends under the bus
Friends keep their foot out of their mouth
Friends don’t stay friends when their friends do unfriendly things
Why are you so mean?
You know you really stink
You need to learn a lesson in personal discretion
If I slap you on the mouth will you stop?
If I burn down your house then show up with a mop
Will you say, ok, you’re my friend
