From ANDRAS JONES: And so we come to the end of our Pop Oracle session with LOUISE GOFFIN marking the end of Gregorian 2017 and the dawn of Gregorian 2018. Every musical guest who does one of these is asked to do a lot more than just come into the studio and play the songs. Inviting their cool and wise friends to ask a question on the show, learning and performing the theme song, participating in the promotion of the release; it’s a demanding gig. My hope is that as demanding as it is, the reward is worth it. As time passes we will marvel as the revelations of this episode become clear. When they do we will see how obvious they were, and yet we couldn’t help but miss them in the moment. This is one of the big lessons of this format; awareness is nice but unnecessary. In fact, in some cases perfect awareness comes from a total lack of it. Wrap your mind around that koan my fellow sync-heads, and while you’re doing so, hold to tight to the red and white striped thread of Louise’s muse. Now that she is woven into your sync-web, the oracular qualities of her work are there for you as needed. Go on. Make a mistake.
Watching The Sky Turn Blue
(Louise Goffin / Steve Dean)
Go on, make a mistake
Come on, letʼs jump in the lake
Whatʼs your favorite song?
Watching the sky turn blue
You always know where to find me
I used to do nothing of the kind, see Iʼm just
Sitting here on this fence
Watching the sky turn blue
Chorus:
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
The sun shined down on you?
Give the take, Iʼll take the give
In the middle of my coffee break
Youʼll find me on the ferris wheel
Watching the sky turn blue
Chorus:
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
The sun shined down on you?
Sunshine down, Sunshine down on you
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
The sun shined down on you?
Watching The Sky Turn Blue
Watching The Sky Turn Blue
Take the give, Iʼll give the take
Give the take, Iʼll take the give
Doncha think its about time, about time, about time
The sun shined down on you?
Watching The Sky Turn Blue
Sunshine down, Sunshine down
Sunshine down, Sunshine down
Watching The Sky Turn Blue
