Raven Starr
&
Louise Goffin
From ANDRAS JONES: Author RAVEN STARR joins us for the third installment of our Gregorian New Year 2017 episode featuring singer-songwriter LOUISE GOFFIN. This Pop Oracle divination deepens two themes which have already emerged in the show. My question involved anti-semitism, Britta’s was about sexism, and, without knowing the questions that preceded hers, Raven fills out the roster of intolerance with a question that we learn is about racism. My kind of New Year! The other emerging theme is that of social media engagement. Britta Phillips and I met in what almost became a Facebook fight and Raven and I have been friends for over a decade, all the way back to MySpace, without ever meeting each other in person. It’s also worth noting that I got connected to Louise because Paul Zollo, who was a guest on our Tom Petty tribute episode, tagged her when sharing that podcast. Make of this what you will. Is social media an agent of synchronicity or is it all just a big Russian plot? You decide.
Let Me In Again
(Louise Goffin/Marvin Etzioni)
No one has time to love anymore
To love anymore
To love anymore
No one has time To call any one
To call any one
To call any one
Neither do I
so can’t we just find
A way to put everything aside?
No one has time to talk any more
To talk any more to talk any more
No one has time to hold any one,
to hold any one
Let me in again, please don’t let it end
Let me in again, please don’t let it end
Let me in again, please don’t let it end
Let me in again, please don’t let it end
No one has time to love anymore
No call anyone, to hold anyone
No one has time, no one at all
no one at all!
Let me in again (oh let me in)
please don’t let it end (don’t let it end)
Let me in again (let me in again)
please don’t let it end (ahhhhh)
Let me in again (oh let me in)
please don’t let it end (don’t let it end)
Let me in again (let me in again)
please don’t let it end…..
