Caprice Crane
&
All Day Sucker
From ANDRAS JONES: First of all, the twins arrived on October 2nd and everyone involved is happy and healthy. So that’s good. The biggest sync I missed at the time was how Caprice said she was thirty three and a half months pregnant, and a single runs at thirty three and a third RPM (reps per minute). It’s also a nifty alignment that on the day this drops (11/6) we will be recording our episode with Inara George of The Bird & The Bee. Aside from the bird/crane sync, there’s also a twin theme emerging since Inara has twins as does Eleni Mandell who will be asking a question on Inara’s episode. Oh yeah, and we’ll be joined by Peter Jesperson of Twin Tone Records. I guess I should be expecting some powerful reflections.
The Single
I know it’s crazy, but I’m frightened by the ringing of the telephone • Telling me the world outside is overflowing • Hello, I must be going, to snap into action • The brightest lights, the tightest beats, the latest nightbirds blowing up my phone • These kids today don’t know from dials or dial tones… or growing old alone • It’s just something that happened • Though I thought I heard it all, I think I hear the single crying out that no one understands • Even though I know we all must some day be the single, doesn’t make it easier when I am • And I am • I know it’s funny when the bed you wake in’s not your natural habitat • But it’s not funny: “ha ha”, it’s just funny: “sad” • They don’t laugh with but at… and nobody’s laughing now • Though I thought I heard it all, I think I hear the single crying out that no one understands • Even though I know we all must some day be the single, doesn’t make it easier when I am • My dignity is signified by my belief that finding grace in my relief will satisfy my desire • Though I thought I heard it all, I think I hear the single crying out that no one understands • Even though I know we all must some day be the single, doesn’t make it easier when I am • Though I thought I heard it all, I still can hear the single crying out that no one understands • Even though I know we all must some day be the single, doesn’t make it easier now I am • I know it’s crazy, but I’m frightened by the ringing of the telephone
