R. Walt Vincent
&
Cooper Walker
From Andras Jones: “R. Walt Vincent (along with keyboardist Marshall Thompson) plays in Cooper’s band and he used to play in my band The Previous. In the interim he’s played with or recorded Liz Phair, Pete Yorn, Tommy Keene and Vivian Cook (who is going to be a guest on a future episode)”.
From Cooper Walker: “It was a blast to have one my best friends and musical heroes, Mr. R. Walt Vincent on the podcast with us… Walt has been gracious enough to lend his many talents to our group Walker & Co. this past year and I couldn’t be more happy with the progress we’ve made together and the avenues our collaboration has opened for us. “Sun Go Down” is a new song we’ve been working on that I’m excited about; musically and lyrically it is very close to the kind of thing I want to create. I don’t know what this song says about the future of Walt’s romantic life, but I do hope it means he will be happy no matter what, that’s how it makes me feel.”
SUN GO DOWN
Verse I
Decrypting signs, in the morning light Put it in your pocket, it’s only sunshine Theres a note on the door, from the night before You get a little bit less for a little more…
Pre-Chorus
What would it take to make you see, only the truth can set you free, baby it Don’t mean much, don’t mean much, don’t mean much to me….
Chorus
I’m gonna watch the sun go down, watch the sun go down I’m gonna watch the sun go down, watch the sun go…. Oooohhhh-ooooohhhhhhh-oooohh
