But as I listen back I am again pleasantly surprised to find not the expected discomfort and awkwardness but a bizarre sense of symbiosis and symmetry between the seemingly remote subjects of a girl who can’t be true and the prospect of a nuclear attack on our beloved city of angels. I’m left ultimately both with a newfound appreciation of the ingenuity behind the wheel of 8 and the realization that there are beautiful and mysterious connections to be revealed here if I am willing simply to make myself available to them…”
