From ANDRAS JONES: VERONICA MONET has impressed me from the first time I met her. She was giving a talk on the history of the prostitute at the home of a dakini I was dating at the time. Her talk was simultaneously scholarly and ribald, thoughtful and revolutionary. I can honestly say that presentation changed the way I look at the world. Since then Veronica has been a guest on the show many times but it’s been a while. I had no idea BLOODY DEATH SKULL‘s music was so full of references to prostitution when I paired these two but from Daiana’s first song the producer in me was looking forward to seeing how their Pop Oracle session would play out. You tell me, but I think it went pretty great. And on a personal note, although I missed it at the time, upon further listening I couldn’t help but notice how this reading connects with the second one from this episode with Dr. Theresa Bullard, since 2008 was the year I took her kabballah class, and that reading also dwelt on the concept of prostitution.
