From ANDRAS JONES: Musician/artist SHAY PEYOTE is a trip. She joined our Pop Oracle session with WILLIE WISELY to ask a question about losing our religion and I have a feeling this reading has some latent potency that has yet to be revealed. Shay’s name, which can be viewed as chez peyote or “the house of peyote” is, in itself, a reference to a house of worship, and one which might fill the “gaping hole” left by the dwindling popularity of the major religions. There’s also a pretty big sync with today’s randomly chosen Pop Oracle song from the R8B app. I recorded it at venue which once was sacred ground to me, The Capitol Theater in Olympia, and whose loss left a gaping hole in my life. The song is Big White Building and the first verse begins:

“It used to be a factory.
Before that it was a farm.
Before that it was a church so don’t be alarmed”
