From ANDRAS JONES: We’re wrapping up this Radio8Vault episode with something truly precious. On May 23, 2011 we had the honor of welcoming ALLEN TOUSSAINT to the realm of The Pop Oracle. As with so many of the legends we’ve featured on Radio8Ball, the great Toussaint was on his way to town to play a show at Jazz Alley in Seattle. We used a mix of his songs, his versions and those of selected others, as the oracle fodder and I gathered a crew of cats to ask the questions, in this case, longtime friend of the show LILI HAYDN. I’m not going to describe it any more than that except to say the theme song on this installment was performed by All Day Sucker.
