Mr. Jones & The Previous
“Who’s Gonna Make It Rain?”
Prince of Cups
Mr. Jones & The Previous embody the airy aspect of water;
The Prince of Cups,
on this song from their 1993 release
Mr. Jones & The Fascists: In Search of The Hundredth Monkey.
Recorded live in downtown Los Angeles in April of 1992 during the LA riots/uprisings,
this album was conceived as a ritual of peace,
inspired by the Hundredth Monkey protests at The Nevada Nuclear test site
earlier that spring.
When the Rodney King verdict came down and the tape kept rolling,
this is one of the things that transpired.
The Previous at their best, live, in love, and in the studio.
Andras Jones – Vocals & Acoustic Guitar
Julie Christensen – Vocals
Marshall Thompson – Keyboards
John Nason – Lead Guitar
Clay Goldstein – Harmonic & Vocals
Brian Mastalski – Bass Guitar
Colin Mahoney – Drums
Engineered by Colin Mahoney & John Nason
This song was featured in Little Witches, a low budget rip off of The Craft, in which a witchy Catholic schoolgirl (Sheeri Rappaport) performs an outdoor striptease to this song for the benefit of some construction workers

I can’t make out many words in this – the lyrics would be a great feature on this site. Sometimes you really need to be able to SEE what the words say.
