Spud

Velvet Starlings
From ANDRAS JONES: The alluringly named SPUD is a genuine surf rocker in the band DRIFTING SAND, and by genuine I mean that they actually surf. Sometimes right after or before their shows. SPUD also works for a member of the greatest non-surfing surf band, AL JARDINE of THE BEACH BOYS. He’s a fan of VELVET STARLINGS so he was happy to join our Pop Oracle session with them. His question is about a zen koanic version of counting sheep. It’s a nifty twist of sync that today’s randomly chosen Pop Oracle song from the R8B app is “Dust In The Circuits” from BART DAVENPORT. Circuit dust and drifting sand? Let’s get granular.
POP ORACLE Song of The Day (June 3, 2019): BART DAVENPORT “Dust In The Circuits”
Turning Point
The autumn leaves are here
The summer sun’s moved on
The harmony we shared
The mad king sold it on
So busy dreaming we missed the alarm
And I don’t know if I’ll see your face again
It’s a turning point of love
And it’s hard to sing these words my friend
It’s a turning point of
Love
Love
Love
And I don’t know if I’ll see your face again
It’s a turning point and we can’t go back my friend
And in time all our footprints will fade
Like a water colour painting in the rain
And it’s love
And it’s love
It’s not enough
And it’s,
Love yeh!
Love yeh!
Love yeh!
There’s just not reasoning with people pointing guns
Through our kaleidoscope the shapes of things to come
So busy dreaming we missed the alarm
And I don’t know if I’ll see your face again
It’s a turning point of love
And it’s hard to sing these words my friend
It’s a turning point of
Love
Love
Love
And I don’t know if I’ll see this place again
It’s a turning point and we can’t go back my friend
And I don’t know if I’ll see your face again
