From ANDRAS JONES: THE WILD HONEY ORCHESTRA inspired this episode. After David Jenkins’ epic tale of the birth of Wild Honey, I wanted to do a Radio8Ball with them where they played Buffalo Springfield songs from the tribute they’d just done at The Alex Theater in Glendale, but it didn’t work out that way. No it didn’t work out that way, but I love the life I live. The life of synchronicity is one where failed plans are the foundation of excellent inspiration. And that’s the case here. Because instead of having all the rock stars on to do their renditions of the hits, I got to welcome the cats, the ones who play and write and produce the songs. And what provided the oracle fodder that answered these cat’s questions? Well, if you can read our title you know it’s The R8B App, filled with every song performed in the history of Radio8Ball. In this case the answer to my question was from JEN AYERS recorded live on Radio8Ball in Seattle on May 8th, 2009. The esteemed SYD STRAW who was joining me for this session decided to add some backing vocals to the track as it was playing. I think her additions are unique and soulful. I hope Jen feels the same way.
Special thanks to Scott Taylor & Skyler Blake of Olympia’s The Hard Way for the Buffalo Springfield-esque R8B Theme Song.
Where is everyone?
Where is everyone?
Where is everyone?
You can’t see
But I hear your voice inside of me
You call my name
And I hear you all these miles away
Where is everyone?
Where is everyone?
You hide your pain
Losing sight to see your way
You hide your pain
So you can be with me again
Sitting next to me my arms around you
Singing all the words I know as we go
Traveling on between both worlds
Singing all the words I know as you go
Where is everyone?
