From ANDRAS JONES: OK folks, buckle up because this is a long one. Today we’re goofin’ with king bee DAVID JENKINS of The Wild Honey Foundation as he joins us at Starburns Industries for a Pop Oracle session with Omnivore Recording artist JEFFREY GAINES. But first… I asked David to give us a little history of Wild Honey.
Forty five minutes later we got to our format. If you dig the kind of music we feature on this podcast you will not consider this to be time wasted. Whether you are fan of Radio8Ball, Wild Honey, The Beach Boys or the LA pop music scene from the late 80’s to now this is something you are going to want to listen to. As long as this one session was, it wasn’t enough. In fact, it inspired a whole episode (coming soon) featuring members of The Wild Honey orchestra (Syd Straw, Debbie Shair, Kaitlin Wolfberg, David Goodstein, Nelson Bragg & Probyn Gregory) asking questions and telling their stories of wild sticky sweetness. Stay tuned and keep buzzing.
FEEL ALRIGHT
I won’t come around your place no more
I won’t be outside your bedroom door
I won’t burn your playhouse down
I never want to see you wear a frown
Making sure everything’ is how you like
Making sure that you feel alright
So I go quietly into the night
To the dark place deep down out of sight
I watch you thrive while I fall from view
You don’t know about this work I do
Making sure everything’s how you like
Making sure that you feel alright
Alright
I’ll be fine, go on and start anew
Leave me to tying up loose ends for you
I’ll stand by and watch the embers die
Then bury them deep down so you may fly
Making sure everything’s how you like
Making sure that you feel alright
Alright
